I HAVE A 42 INCH TABLE AND THIS TABLECLOTH IS A GOOD FIT. IT HAS A SLICKER SIDE AND A LITTLE LIKE "VELVET" SIDE AND IT'S GOOD FOR HAVING MY XMAS POLY TABLECLOTH LAY OVER IT AND NOT SLIP AROUND. I HAVEN'T WASHED IT YET BUT I DON'T BELIEVE THERE WILL BE ANY ISSUE USING COLD WATER. + IT COMES WITH WASHING INSTRUCTIONS ON A SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER. I AM HAPPY WITH IT.
